Respect Life

In late 2014 the web series “Money & Violence” launched on YouTube taking the hood by storm & inspiring a few other similar projects & most likely the creation of “Respect Life”, which launched on YouTube in February, 2015. Both shows are currently 1 season deep & after watching the entire first season of both, Respect Life was definitely more to our liking. The setting for the shows is Brooklyn, NY & both do a great job depicting the inner workings & politics of everyday street life from different points of view. The main reasons we prefer RL over M&V is the characters & dialogue are more realistic in our opinion, & the over all production appears to be better in quality. Both series’s are set to kick off season 2 in early 2016 so head over to YouTube to get caught up & let us know which is your favorite!

Cocaine Bimbie

The only reason we’re late to put this up is because we just brought this blog back to life 2 days ago. This video dropped in October 2015 via VICE/Noisey & Simba who is a personal friend of ours is still the only rapper to walk with lions! Simba has been behind the mic for years grooming his craft & star power & he displays that perfectly on Cocaine Bimbie. The video & rave reviews are all over the internet & we couldn’t be happier for our boy. We will definitely be posting more of his videos & music so be on the look out for Siimbie Liives Long!

T Money vs Big Kannon

T Money has been a favorite of ours since the Grind Time days. We heard he started making his way back on the rap battle circuit so we checked YouTube & found this gem! Most label a battle “classic” after it reaches 1 million views but with just under 50k kannon & money give us a 1 Rd undeniable classic battle. Great to see our guy T Money back on the scene still spitting fire!
